  • Song

Inspired from the Sainsbury's ad a few years ago

    Song

    Sing to the Lord
    A different song
    Make it glorious
    And Oh, so long

    Add all the harmonies
    Of unsung years,
    And mix it slightly,
Make it music to his ears,

    Add the flavoring
    Of our own weak hearts,
    Being submissive to His Laws,
    Right from the start,

    Proclaim all our Guilt
And ask the Lord to come in,
    Realizing for once,
    The blemished scent, of Sin.

  • The Unknown Soldier

    If I was a soldier
On the trodden fields of War
And if I was a Captain
    With armoured Troops before
    And if I was engulfed
In a trench knee deep in mud
    Then my idea of life
    Should be well understood
    And so a calm contemplation
    Comes about me
    Sinking in the mud
    Bullets flying over me
And I sense to sing a melody
    Of timely rhyme and reason
    Of a reassuring hope
That is given to all this Season
And as I fight for Life
On the Front Line of War
    A life so miserable
As I fight for God, King and Corps
    Although I see my comrades
Fight a War such as this
    I feel a calm contemplation,
    Yes, Eternal bliss,
    So from the Front Line
I write a section just for thee
And all I ask is for Peace and Love
    And just to remember me.
